Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of The Method mobile application ("the App"), operated by Unicity International ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

The Method is available exclusively to graduates and participants of The Method seminar program. Access is granted via email verification through the Unicity Hydra authentication system. We reserve the right to revoke access at any time if you are not an eligible participant.

2. Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must provide accurate information during registration, including your name and preferred language. You may not share your account credentials with others.

3. Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you create in the App, including Power Goals, Vision Statements, and practice notes. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely to provide the App's functionality.

4. AI-Powered Features

The App uses third-party AI services to provide certain features:

• Handwriting recognition uses OpenAI's GPT-4.1 Vision API to convert photographs of handwritten text to digital text.
• Voice dictation uses ElevenLabs' Scribe v2 API to transcribe spoken audio to text in real-time.
• Goal validation uses OpenAI's API to provide feedback on Power Goal formatting.

By using these features, you consent to your content (images, audio) being transmitted to these third-party services for processing. Content is not retained by these services after processing.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
• Misrepresent your identity or eligibility
• Use automated tools to access the App (bots, scrapers, etc.)

6. Community Features

The App includes a community leaderboard. Participation is opt-in — you choose whether your name and practice statistics are visible to other users. You may change your visibility at any time in the App's account settings.

7. Coins and Streaks

The App awards virtual coins and tracks practice streaks as motivational tools. Coins have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged, transferred, or redeemed for cash or goods.

8. Notifications

The App may send push notifications and local reminders for practice sessions, achievements, and streak alerts. You can manage all notification categories in the App's settings. You may disable notifications at any time through your device settings.

9. Availability

We strive to keep the App available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may temporarily suspend the App for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

10. Intellectual Property

The Method app, including its design, code, content, and branding, is the property of Unicity International. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the App.

11. Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App (if any).

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause. You may delete your account by contacting us. Upon termination, your content will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify users of material changes through the App or via email.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
